CODE OF CONDUCT

1. Be considerate, your work will affect other people and you in turn will depend on the work of others. Any decision you take will affect users and colleagues and we expect you to take those consequences into account when making operational decisions.

2. Be respectful when dealing with colleagues as well as with people outside the Forum, even where there is disagreement. If you deal with personal or sensitive information then it is expected that you will keep this information confidential.

3. Be collaborative because participation, co-production and working together improves the quality of the work and support offered and values the input of others.

4. Be consistent, we will do what we said we would do when we said we would do it.

5. Be representative and allow everyone to have the opportunity to voice their opinions and any concerns they might have.

6. Uphold Coventry PCF principles and resolve disagreements constructively.

7. Uphold the democratic decisions of Coventry PCF and implement the decisions of the Forum’s Committee.  Asking questions can often help to avoid problems and so questions are encouraged. Those who are asked should be responsive and helpful.

8. Forum Members, Representatives and Volunteers are expected to act in accordance with the aims and objectives of the Coventry PCF at all times; respect confidentiality; declare any conflicts of interest or issues; as well as a child protection or other safeguarding investigation in relation to a child or Adult at Risk of Abuse; and act in a way that is non-party-political.

9. When delivering services and engaging with other agencies, we are committed to ensuring that Coventry PCF’s services and activities should be available to all members of the community, regardless of characteristics such as race, religion, ethnic origin, gender or sexual orientation and all Forum members will abide by the Equalities, Diversities and Inclusion Policy which is in line with current equalities legislation.  Coventry PCF will seek feedback from all those we work with to ensure that the engagement delivered is monitored, reviewed and used to plan and deliver consistently high quality relationships.
