Parent carer forums are responsible for understanding the collective views of parent carers in their local area.
Coventry Parent Carer Forum is an independent group run by parent carers. We work alongside Coventry City Council and local health agencies as equal partners to help improve services for children and young people with additional needs and their families. If you are a parent carer, we aim to empower you to help improve the services you need, introduce you to new friends and provide free training to boost your skills and knowledge.
Watch the video What is a Parent Carer and What do they do? to find out more about parent carer forums and how parents across England are helping improve local and national services for children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

Coventry City Council and statutory health organisations like hospitals and GP practices have a duty to listen to the collective voice of their local parent carer forum.

Coventry Parent Carer Forum believes that every child has the right to full access to an excellent education and a range of supportive, inclusive, and life-affirming services that meet their needs. The Parent Carer Forum fosters positive change, working together with statutory bodies and other organisations across the city of Coventry to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and young people with additional needs and disabilities.
The Forum is made up of parent carer members who work tirelessly with dedication, commitment, and passionate energy, representing families' voices and experiences to influence and inform future service delivery. Entrust Care Partnership supports the operation of the Forum as the host organisation.
The Forum runs on a cooperative basis, with every member having a vote and the opportunity to contribute to discussions and future direction. The Forum is democratic, not-for-profit, and represents a collective voice. Your voice counts, and we’d love you to join us.
